QOTD

"We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."

- 31,000 scientists have signed this petition ( www.petitionproject.org ) questioning global warming

Here are two important links related to global warming, or the lack thereof:

  1. www.petitionproject.org - the petition above, our QOTD
  2. www.kusi.com/weather/colemanscorner - John Coleman's writings/speeches refuting global warming. My favorite one is: www.kusi.com/weather/colemanscorner/19842304.html
I think these two links say it better than I can. There's so much that can be added: fake polar bears, fake hockey stick graph, temperatures are decreasing now, solar activity, green hedge funds, Al Gore's bank account, CGI glacier melting, increasing taxes to solve global warming, still no nukes, and on and on.

Nutty Al Gore is pitching in to the cause of dispelling global warming by getting nuttier and nuttier.

QOTD2
"...the death count in Myanmar from the cyclone that hit there yesterday has been rising from 15,000 to way on up there to much higher numbers now being speculated... we’re seeing consequences that scientists have long predicted might be associated with continued global warming."
- Al Gore, attributing the cyclone in Myanmar to global warming
Nobody buys that BS, Al. There is, however, little publicity for how crazy this statement is.
And of course, the media is the nuttiest. It's the lowest of all professions. CNN is my favorite because they have the volume turned up all the way... "PLANET IN PERIL!!!!" Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

It will be interesting to see how far down the rabbit hole this thing goes.
crank up the ac... yow, bill

PS - CNN's Anderson Cooper consoling some critter in peril:
