Well, mea culpa and shame on this ole blogger... I had President Obama (and the missus) swooping into Copenhagen to claim credit for Olympic victory, all pol'd up and snarky. Ends up they must have gotten the call that Chicago was on the ropes, and they flew in on a salvage mission. It would appear a more above board venture than I gave them credit for.

And shame on my kooky old ass!

I gotta admit... I don't follow the Olympics too much these days, so whatever on Rio hosting in 2016.

Why Brazil?

1. First city in South America to host the games, and
   
2. I read that they are committing $14B to the deal, as opposed to Chicago's $4B. Fourteen Billion Dollars. Yikes, you can have it!
