It was the best of times. It was the worst of times... a tale of two seasons. The Golem dominated the first half of the year, winning their first team weeks and accumulating a 63-20 record and a huge first-place lead. Then, in week 11, a 7-2 loss to the Pelican sent the Golem spiraling. The Golem would finish the final 11 weeks of the regular season with only 2 more wins, hanging on to a 4th place finish.
In the second half, the Homowner took over the Golem winning ways, and then some. The Owner lost 7-3 in week 10 to the Pelican (those pesky Pelican again) and never lost again. From week 11 to week 22, the Owner record was an astounding 89-27. The surging Owner ran away with first place by more than 20 games.
The Pelican are a sneaky, streaky team. Win a couple, lose one... good enough for 2nd place though.
