1     The Beginning

Back to the 12 steps

Welcome to the 2018 season!

The LetsPlay3 Yahoo page is here: baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/league/letsplay3

This page

I had a lot of fun putting the aux web pages together this year. In case you hadn't noticed, the theme is the 12 step recovery program for alcoholism at AA, bsober.org/twelve-steps-aa/. I'm not an alcoholic (knock on wood), so I guess it's probably a little cavalier to mess with a serious topic like this. Oh well, I guess I'm a little cavalier. (ha)

The idea caught my eye because many of our LP3 owners are pretty passionate about fantasy baseball. It's definitely a different level of interest than fantasy football, for example. It's definitely a lot of fun.

Another minor theme is 1970's baseball cards. I'll post a card for each year (1970-1981) at the bottom of these pages. The 1970's is when I feverishly collected baseball cards. It was so cool back then. Well, okay, maybe "cool" isn't exactly the right term, but it was a lot of fun before girls wrecked everything. (ha). Almost all the pictures will be of cards from my own baseball card collection. Sometimes I'll choose a card because of the player, sometimes because of the card itself. Whatevs.

Fun, fun, fun. Good!

Bow down!

With his strong victory in 2017, our reigning champion is Sir Edward of Cambridge.

Bow down! He's your better in every way, old chap.

Prior to his fantasy baseball heroics, Ed was probably best known for his eccentric performance as Tim the Enchanter in Monty Python's The Holy Grail.

1970 Ron Santo - I love Santo.
The BIG bat projecting out of this card, all 3-D like, is cool.
Santo was a great ballplayer and an absolute joy as a broadcaster. (sigh)
He's a HOF'er, baby. www.baseballhall.org/hof/santo-ron.
