4     Draft Results

Back to the 12 steps

The 2018 LetsPlay3 draft was held on Sat Mar 24, 2018 at Castle BillSkull.

Highlights

Lots of fun highlights in this year's draft. Like...

  • We enjoyed tasty bbq sammiches, courtesy Bill's bachelor crock pot, allrecipes - Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
  • For the first time ever over decades of fantasy baseball drafting, a vegetable was served... in tot form, Veggie Tots!
  • Another first, Syd the Kyd and her friend completed The Castle Easter Egg Hunt. Huzzah!
  • Our two newbies, Kyle and Troy, were shockingly competent and confident during their first draft. This could be a problem long-term. (he he)
  • Rob brought some along some old friends from the Great Northwest, Brian and Antionette... very nice (and extremely attractive) people! I should have taken a picture. (dop)
  • Some of us unwound after the draft with some basketball... a couple games of Horse. The finally tally: Bill 3, Intruders 0. Gotta love that home court advantage. (ha!)

Results

As usual, I have a couple versions of the results for you.

First, is Eric's official screed. It's done by team, so... figure it out.

Teams 1-10   ~   Teams 1-10, cont

Teams 11-14   ~   Teams 11-14, cont

Next up, here's my screen grab from Yahoo.

Yahoo rounds 1-3   ~   Yahoo rounds 4-6

Yahoo rounds 7-9   ~   Yahoo rounds 10-12

Yahoo rounds 13-15   ~   Yahoo rounds 16

As usual, the final 4 rounds are done online in the week following the live draft.

Next year

It's funny. For a couple years now, the Killer Maltese has used a cool app to follow the draft while he's selecting the Fantasy Yankees from his metropolitan penthouse suite in the Bronx. It keeps track of the whole draft in this killer (maltese) spreadsheet.

So next year, can somebody (Brad?), remind me to use Brad's cool app for the official draft ledger? Excellent.

next year... yow, bill

1973 Strikeout Leaders - Steve Carlton and Nolan Ryan.
They don't make starting horses like these guys any more.
In 1972, Carlton pitched 346 innings... Ryan a paltry 284.
Nolan Ryan also had 157 walks and 18 wild pitches that year. (ha)
