Gol dang jiminy...Week 21 was intense. Yow!

Boston. Champion!

All hail the 2019 LetsPlay3 Fantasy Baseball Champion!

Boston Poindexters
Owner: Sir Edward Thomson

It was an extraordinary year for the Poindexter. Let's roll the videotape:

  • Boston moved into first place on week 10. And stayed atop the heap throughout the rest of the season.
  • #1 Boston finished more than 10 games better than the 2nd place team (Southern).
  • Boston was the only team with a .600 winning percentage during the regular season.
  • Boston was best team statistically using the NIPR regime and had the best pitching in the league by a wide margin.
  • Boston used only 9 moves during the regular season, less than any other team.
  • Six Boston players were All-LP3 or honorable mention: C Yelich (mil), Xander (bos), G Cole (hou), F Vazquez (pit), Zack Greinke (hou), Charlie Morton (tam)
  • As I type, Boston SS M Semien (oak) is the #1 player in all Yahoo over the last 30 days. Semien is probably the Poindexter's playoff MVP. His tally over two playoff weeks: 15 run, 6 homer, 14 rbi, and 45 total base.
  • Sir Edward drafted this juggernaut on a travel day. As he struggled to find a signal for his cell, draft locales included a taxi cab, the airport terminal, and undoubtedly the airport bar.
  • This is Boston's 2nd title in three years. The LP3 trophy is headed for Cambridge UK again next Spring.

Congrats to Boston Ed!

Championship round

After a couple epic semifinal battles, here we are. Top-seeded Boston is looking for his 2nd title in three years. Newbie Killer Rabbit, the #6 seed, is trying to shock the world!

Game on!

  • Boston Poindexter 6, Killer Rabbit 4   [boxscore]

The Semis

The big kids are back from bye week vacation, and the killers (little dog and bunny) await.

We are on to...The Semis!

Wildcard round

Our top two teams are gone fishing: #1 Boston Poindexter, #2 Southern Rocket.

The battle begins for these guys:

The playoff tiebreaker is head-to-head during the regular season.

So, advantage: Killer Rabbit, Naperville.

PS - This is my old pre-playoff content. I can't delete Jeter! So I snuck him down here. (ha)

See you in September.

Until then, enjoy the best of the best in some MLB playoff action...
