I heard a guy on the tube yesterday talking about the upcoming Chicago Bears season: "It's hard not to be optimistic in July."

"Fucking idiot," I muttered into my empty beer. But then I thought... shit, I ain't been to the playoffs any more than the lousy Bears, and I'm always "optimistic in July." So be it!
