Welcome to the 2017 season of the Payton34 Fantasy Football league.
We're a Yahoo league... so here's the link to all the real action.
It's owners only, but we have a Facebook group, too: www.facebook.com/groups/Payton34football
This is an aux site with some stats and some pictures and some crap. And it's a legacy deal... we'll look back some day and laugh/cry/drool. Speaking of legacy, this is our 12th year. The name of this year's champion will fill the trophy... just like baseball. Pretty cool.
Anywho, that's all for now. Just scroll down and enjoy the ride.
thanks... yow, bill
PS - Here's Walter's rookie card. The rest of the football cards below are chosen randomly from ones I've downloaded from the internets. Click on him for a bigger version. If you have a card you'd like to add, then email me. Hut.
We are all set... Sat Aug 26 @ 3:00pm
The draft location is The Castle. Not a biggie... we're much more mobile now, with more people drafting via chatzy than live. It's the 21st century, I think. (shrug)
The draft order is the reverse of last year's standings + playoffs. We're rolling with 14 teams again this year.
Draft prep typically starts with your trip to the liquor store for some draft fuel. (ha)
Here's my handy Draft Helper for 2017. Print it out so you can write down your picks as you make them.
As far as research is concerned, you'll want a list of players (Angeero). Here are some links to cheatsheets, lists, research and more!

First off, thanks very much to Melonville Eric for being our draft scribe. Excellent!
Here's the draft spreadsheet in Open Office format:
Or, some images, if you prefer...
And this is a bit of a tradition now... Yahoo's Draft Grades. Needless to say, these grades are rarely an indication of future success or failure. But still... Cardiac Comeback. You stink! (he he)
You know what they say about fantasy football... it sure ain't no fantasy baseball. (smirk) So yeah, the stats aren't that interesting, but what the heck. It's still (a little) fun.
Top Scorers — My first offering is easy. It's the top scoring player each week at each position (QB, WR, RB, TE, K, DEF).
Season Stats — This one is a little weirder. It's a potpourri of stats on team and league scoring each week of the season. With this, you can answer questions like... What's the median score over all weeks? What's the lowest score of the season? What's the high score each week? And so on. How many 100+ point scores have there been? Check it out.
Prior to the draft, all the lesser owners bow down to last year's champion... their better in every way. In this pic, Van Buren Tommy presents the trophy to Naperville Bill, 2016 Payton34 Champion. Huzzah!

This is the funky Bootstrap theme I am using:
I'm not sure why this page is so stinky on a small screen. (scratch scratch) Oh well.
fun... yow, bill
