AWESOME!

Dec 13, 1999... Bill Krieger

OK, all together now, bow to the Joliet DurtyByrds... the first team in NIBL history to smash through the 400 nibl barrier. Let's check out that record-breaking boxscore:

For you public school graduates out there, that's JR Rider 100 + Michael Finley 91 + Gary Payton 87 + Eddie Jones 77 + Bo Outlaw 47. He had four 50+ nibl games during the week, by four different players. Yikes!

Incensed that he brought down the team's average and didn't pull down 50 nibls in a single NBA game, Joliet has waived Bo Outlaw in favor of Danny Manning (better known by his Indian name "Runs Without Knees").

Anyway, Congrats to Tim. I think that record may stand for a while.

yow, bill

PS - Oh yeah, who did Joliet trounce... the hapless WifeBeater. The reigning champs are almost as bad as Aruba this year... almost.

PPS - Joliet scored so much, they decided to take this week off.. their bye week.
