Archive — Prof Bill at Noctrl

Created: Jan 2024

I was a part-time prof at North Central College for 20 years.

  • It's easy to remember my first lecture at North Central College: Sep 11, 2001 @ 8:00 am. I was a little nervous, but no too much. After class ended at 10:00, I went up to the CSC lounge where I learned about the 9/11 terrorist attack on our country.
  • My last class was CSC 210 Data Structures in Spring 2020. Even with "maximum effort", Zoom teaching sucked pretty hard. (shrug)

Part-time college professor is a pretty cushy job. Lots of teaching with very few meetings or nonsense. Interacting with students was a lot of fun and made the whole thing a wonderfully positive experience for me.

Hot mess

OK, these pages are pretty much a hot mess. So, let's call this a "partial archive"...partially complete and partially working.

After each term, I usually made local copies of things from the Noctrl faculty website. Regardless, things are old and weird and incomplete. You'll likely find broken links, bad/weird formatting, and more. Whatevs. It's just not worth the time and effort to try and fix things up.

I divvied up the archive into two parts:

Finally, I'm no longer checking/using my old Noctrl email: wtkrieger@noctrl.edu
