| old | Brownie was born on January 16, 1991. When he hits 7 dog-years, in 1998, I think we can officially consider him "middle-aged" |
| mini | Brownie is really small. He only weighs about 12 pounds, and the top of his head can't be more than six inches off the ground. |
| lovable | Brownie is a lover, not a fighter. Dachshunds are usually more aggressive. |
| a tanning fool | Brownie's main hobby these days is tanning (assuming you don't count sleeping as a hobby). He follows the sun shining through our skylight, and he considers this excersize. Brownie has had surgery to remove a series of skin melanomas. He is the George Hamilton of the animal kingdom. |
| a porn star | Relative to the rest of his body, Brownie is HUGE! He causes quite a sitr at the Vet's. Brownie will hump anything with two or more legs... except Sammie that is. His dislike (or fear) of Sammie is the only thing greater than his sex drive. |
| stuffed? | Brownie is really a calm guy. He doesn't bark much, and he loves to build a couch nest out of pillows and throws. Like many dachshunds, Brownie's back occasionally gives him trouble. We have had to take him in twice so far for cortesone shots. Because of this, he's getting more fragile over the years. |
Brownie is not a typical dachshund
because of his sweet and gentle nature. He's afraid of his
shadow.
It's been tough at times for Brownie to adjust to the addition of
Sammie to what used to be "his
house." In the end, though, Brownie has benefited because of
the energy Sammie has brought to the house.
