Did You Know
Did you know that in 15 seasons of this fun stuff, over about 2,000 game-weeks, only 1 team has thrown 100 strikeouts in a week?
Yup. That would be the 2011 KGG.
But nobody's ever had more than 8 saves in a week. Ever.
And I vividly remember this one. In week 9 of the 2016 season, the Naperville Flower hit 23 dingers in a single week.
Stats notes:
- For two seasons, 2020 and 2021, we played Roto style because of uncertainty in the MLB schedule.
- In 2022, we switched from "Saves" to "Saves+Holds".
- MLB's intentional fiddling with the baseball has had a dramatic impact on our fantasy stats. For example, home runs peaked in 2019 as the average team hit more than 10 home runs! In 2022, the baseball is back to "normal" and so are home run totals as the average total per team was 8.2 home runs.
